Customized Sterile Compounded Medications

Compounding Wellness Sterile Lab is proud to provide the highest quality sterile compounding for your needs.

Many patients have unique needs when it comes to medications such as unusual dosing requirements, allergies, or rare diseases. Sterile compounding customizes medications to meet these needs when options are not available through manufacturers. Compounding Wellness Sterile Lab has both hazardous and non-hazardous clean rooms to make any type of compounded medication.

Compounding in general is an art of combining, mixing, or altering ingredients to create a tailored medication. Sterile medications generally bypass the body’s natural barriers and need to be made in an environment free from infectious microorganisms like bacteria and viruses. Our clean rooms are designed to eliminate microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses through specific filters, equipment and rigorous cleaning. In addition to being made in a specialized environment, the people making the sterile compounded medication need to undergo specific training and reassessment regularly to ensure the highest standard of sterility.

Compounded eye drops and ointments are sterile products.
Please see our Eye Preparations Section for more information.

Dermatology products such as diluted antibiotics for allergy testing are sterile products. We have had requests from dermatologists for penicillin, septra, cefuroxime, and more.

Specialty Medication

Working with patient support programs to treat complex health conditions.

CWSL works closely with patient support programs to ensure patients receive exceptional patient focus and care. We have most experience with ophthalmology programs. For conditions such as nAMD and DME using Lucentis/Beovu Forsight and Eylea EYE-Q.

Traditional medications are those which most people are familiar with like high blood pressure medications, birth-control pills, anti-depressants and so on. Specialty medications treat serious, chronic and complex health conditions and often consist of new therapy innovations. They often are temperature sensitive and require cold chain management when being delivered.

Specialty medications tend to be much more expensive than traditional medication, and in order to benefit, patients being treated for chronic, complex health conditions may also require extensive diagnostic procedures.
